That is awesome.

Catlantis.

I don’t want to see any more cat pictures, but I DO want to see more cat-related comments!
I’m spearheading a grassroots campaign to make this happen. Hopefully by autumn, 100% of new comments in Will’s blog will mention cats.

Catony Carnevale.
Apr 25th, 2007 at 3:40 pm
I didn’t write that last one.
Please don’t fake my name. -Linda

God forbid that someone defame Linda’s cat posts. -Not Linda
Apr 25th, 2007 at 9:04 pm
Is it too mean to ask for a full entry from Linda? As a longitme reader, occasional poster, I want to know more about her. Why does she love your cats so much? Of all the web sites on our famed interwebs that she could spew cat-loving venom, why yours? Does Linda exist? Is she some addled, medication-free version of Will? For God’s sake Linda, I need to know!
Apr 25th, 2007 at 10:12 pm
I tried to add a category called Famous Bow-Tie Wearers, but Wikipedia said it was not academic enough.
Apr 26th, 2007 at 8:56 am
Why am I not surprised that all these “comedians” would post snarky comments while hiding behind fake names?
(And Will can confirm this is really me because I always include my email address.)
PS: Adam, I think that’d be a great category.

“catmedians”
Apr 26th, 2007 at 9:07 am
That last one (catmedians) was not Linda, the one before was.
Also, Linda, one could argue that taking each post and comment and putting “cat” in the title is a form of snarky commenting, so there’s no sense in putting someone ELSE down for their snarky comments.
Apr 26th, 2007 at 9:09 am
I am so scared right now and don’t know what to think. Crap — what if I’M Linda and I post while sleepwalking?
Apr 26th, 2007 at 9:17 am
It’s like a Philip K. Dick novel where everyone THINKS their Linda but discovers halfway through that they are in fact a clone of Linda. And also addicted to speed. And at the mercy of an oppressive government. Run by a girl.
Apr 26th, 2007 at 9:21 am
And that girl is a cat.
Will, there’s a difference between what I write and what other people write, either using my name or making it a passive-aggressive jab at me, and you know that.
(This is really posted by me.)
Apr 26th, 2007 at 9:30 am
Shoot HER! I’m the REAL Linda! CATS! Right? Gulp.
(This is really posted by me.)
Apr 26th, 2007 at 9:40 am
But I… but you… but they…. eeeeeeeerp! Who do I shoot? ONE OF YOU IS A CLONE! Of course, I don’t even know who the actual Linda is or why she posts comments here, but nonetheless — the presence of clones in my virtual home is UNNNNEEEERRRVVVVING!

I was in Disney World and had to walk off of Splash Mountain last week. There were no cats there.
Apr 26th, 2007 at 1:10 pm
I just realized that “Sunken Kitties” would also have been a good comment.
Apr 26th, 2007 at 1:27 pm
Suncat Cities.
Apr 26th, 2007 at 2:32 pm
Well, that’s just terrible.
(Real, as was the “Sunken Kitties” comment.)
Apr 26th, 2007 at 3:58 pm
I prefer “Suncat Cities” to “Sunken Kitties”, the latter of which suggests the drowning of felines. “Suncat Cities” suggests a metropolis of cats leisurely lounging in the warmth of the sun.
I am a much better Linda than you.
Apr 26th, 2007 at 4:10 pm
“More Linda than Linda.” That’s our motto.

I’M LINDA!

DC wins.
(the real Linda)
(wait maybe not)
(nope, I checked. I am not)
(yes I am)
Apr 27th, 2007 at 10:06 am
D. Cat Pierson!
You, Will, should defend what I (the REAL real Linda) write here for at least two reasons: 1) because my cat comments are (certainly in comparison to all these Linda imposters) sophisticated, intelligent and entertaining and 2) because we’ve been close personal friends for many years.
Wait a minute. Ha. I’m sorry. Nevermind.
Apr 27th, 2007 at 2:20 pm
Spartacats is funny!
I might use that some day, it’s now number two on my “Cat Names” list (number one is “Will Hines”).
Apr 27th, 2007 at 2:42 pm
The Violent Femmes are a great American band.
Apr 29th, 2007 at 11:27 am
I ain’t gonna play Suncat Cities.

Christopher Catumbus…
or perhaps catinda, since we all love Linda so much…lol.
