I definitely agree to some extent with number one, though I think the money should be put in some kind of trust or something and if they go pro they don’t get the money. I never thought about number 2 before, but that’s a pretty good idea. Although I do think some serial killers do shit just because they’re crazy, not necessarily thinking about the infamy angle.

Sure, three, I guess. I don’t really care. Four, I’m not sure I totally understand (the pitcher must face one batter thing). I agree about the designated hitter. I am ambivalent about Pete Rose. I understand it’s the Hall of Fame of Baseball, not the Hall of Fame of Ethical People, but I don’t think it’s ridiculous to have some standards with regards to ethics and such when inducting someone. Of course, I think it’s possible that his baseball skills outweigh the heinousness of his ethical lapses, so yeah, maybe I do agree with that.

I agree with some of these and disagree with others, it doesn’t really matter. But I would like to synthesize two of your opinions into a new one of my own:

Corporations should be paid! Corporations have too long gone uncompensated for all the hard work that they do.

I agree with one these unequivocally. Another I agree with somewhat equivocally. Two I disagree with.

Dyna disagrees with No. 2. She clearly doesn’t give a shit about sports, so one and four are out. I’m pretty sure she agrees with No. 3, because she was complaining about blurring corporate logos out of “Cakey.” Maybe she just like to complain, but I don’t think so. Process of elimination!

Artists can use corporate logos in their work. Not without restrictions, exactly. But trademark law does not give the trademark holder carte blanche to fuck with everyone.
