The heat wave broke this very minute with a huge and powerful downpour. There must have been a concert in McCarren Pool up the street because there is a huge crush of teenagers and twentysomethings running down Lorimer St. to the subway, all shrieking in the rain. It’s like a low-budget horror movie, albiet one that ends with a lot of people cramming into Pete’s Candy Store across the street.

you won’t see me arguing. however, devo is playing the pool on the 26th and that’s even older… and i will probably be there. with the other snobby old folks.

I consider it vintage after 10 years - good old. And Holy Crap I totally want to see Devo!
I just can’t imagine a proper hipster going to a Death Cab concert so late in the game. So instead I imagine a bunch of transplant douches rushing for cover, in between summer classes at NYU and interning at MTV before heading back to Oberlin/Berkeley/anyothercollegenotinNY.
But I’m judgmental and what do I know - is their new album good? Death Cab was always good for sad break up music.
