Dirtbaggery

The New Pornographer’s video for “My Slow Descent Into Alcoholism” is one of the funniest and coolest depiction of defiant dirtbaggery I’ve ever seen! It’s not that there’s a huge VOLUME of dirtbaggery. Just well chosen details that slowly build into an awesome last shot.
Found after watching Letter From An Occupant via achilles’ blog. Both are amazing and fun songs!

I’m a New Pornographers fan. I recommend “All For Swinging You Around”, I recall the video for that being pretty good.
I had always believed Mass Romantic and its songs–including this one–are decidedly inferior to the offerings of Electric Version. For that reason, I was skeptical going in. Now I’m convinced I was all turned around. The dirtbaggery of “Slow Descent” and its accompanying video makes up for a lot. Black plastic tubs!
