I felt that Channel 102 shows were too long, even with the five-minute maximum. Enter Clipboard — my attempt to squeeze a complete story into 60 seconds! Kevin, Eliza, Rob, Terry and I spent 2 hours filming this epic! It came in last.

The Block
Another Channel 102 pilot - lasted 3 episodes. In this one, the hero (me) must reach his home at the end of the block by fighting his way through a string of old enemies — a simplified lo-fi version of The Warriors. This was a joy to make, even if cold weather forced us to shoot inside at the last minute for episode 3. Accursed winter!

A five-minute television pilot which tells the adventures of John Kerry after he lost the 2004 election. There’s a ninja and a missing finger and a dartboard.
Fun Squad
The winner of the very first Channel 102 screening — a competition of five-minute TV pilots. I credit its success amongst my friends to the universal appeal of nut-punches. or that people prefer melancholy off-key theme songs for their kids shows.
