The workmen have come to my apartment for the past four Saturdays. In that time they repaired the leak in my ceiling and replaced the soggy rotten tiles with bright white ones. They replaced the buckled section of the kitchen floor. The repainted my bathroom, and re-spackled (or re-glued or something) the creases in between the tiles along its walls. The replaced my shaky doorknob. They determined that my refrigerator had a leak and told my landlord to get me a new one. The place looks great!

A leak spring in my kitchen ceiling. It seemed to start moments after I got home (around 10:45pm) as if it had been waiting for me. I slid a bucket under the drip and considering ignoring it. As that thought formed, the drop increased into a steady stream, so that it sounded like my kitchen was taking a pee. Then I looked up and saw the ceiling tile sag down, and the drip increased one more time. It seemed very possible that my entire roof was about to cave, but it didn’t get worse.
