I might have that quote a bit wrong, but it is my favorite line in a very cool and fun eleven-minute film called “Force 1 TD” which was on Wholpin. It’s about three kids from the Bronx trying to get tiny all white sneakers for the seeing-eye horse of their friend. Starts a bit slow, but it builds into a brilliant ending. Silvija, watch it!
Gethard tells me he couldn’t quite get into the “Assassination” film I linked to in my last post. Fine. Here’s one for Gethard. A six-minute lo-fi stunt masterpiece called “Lucky.” On the Wholphin DVDs, the menus are short films. You just have [...]
The Line finished. Listen closely to when the triplets introduce themselves to hear that Chris Gethard permanently inserted himself into the universe. The New York Times did a feature article about it which contained a picture of the cast, including the mugs you see above.
The DCM also finished. I was lucky to be in shows I loved. I witnessed the Gethard-O’Neill slap battle in Stepfathers, terrible mullets in The Foxworthy Brothers, a surprisingly good improv set from The Twilight Zone show, a fun reunion with Monkeydick, and fun half-reunion with the Fat Guy Stuck in Internet Stars, and my favorite ever 30 second cameo in [...]
Hey, it’s a new episode of The Line! And for one second I look ridiculous in it! Check it out!
The Line, a web series which stars Bill Hader and Joe Lo Truglio (co-written by Hader and Simon Rich, directed by Seth Myers), but with supporting roles from the people you see above — debuted today on crackle.com. it’s about a bunch of nerds waiting in line for 11 days to see a sci-fi movie (”FutureSpace”). Will Hines and Gavin Speiller fans will have to wait until episode two to see us (beyond flashes of us in the pre-credits teaser) but you can see Gethard, Moynihan and Thomas MIddleditch in episode uno right now.
Chris Gethard and Jacob Knoll.

I love the typeface used for “The Darryl Strawberry” show, and the idea that Darryl dances at the end of his show.
Last night at Stepfathers, it was just Delaney, Gethard and myself. Tremendous fun. However, among the many good scenes was one in which I was a man teaching Chris how to price things at a yard sale. We spoke after and realized that in this scene we had broken every conventional “rule” of good scenes in improv. I was teaching a transaction scene without a relationship dynamic to a not-speaking, barely-reacting character, listing items without a pattern. Chris had one line and it was a question, pimping me into listing more. Delaney entered and tried to make a game out of the irrational prices I was making — which Chris and I ignored. That’s impressive! It really wasn’t that terrible [...]
First of all, Corn Mo is God. He performed at the UCBT’s Halloween Party last night and kicked the shit out of everyone there. Gavin Speiller was walking through the back to put his bag down in the green room and was frozen, mid-stride, by the awesomeness and couldn’t move until it was over. The Last Car, the other band, was also awesome but none could deny the power of the headliner.
I experienced the entire show in an altered state, not from drugs or alcohol but from wearing ear plugs. Corn Mo politely passed out a bin of [...]
