Indie Cup. Another UCBT-NY original. Directed by Nick “Awkward Boy” Paley. Written by Caitlin Tegart. Starring Scott Coulander, Emily Strachan, Ben Rodgers, Craig Rowin, and Rory Panagotopulos. Originally done by Stone Cold Fox at Maude Night.
Here’s 15 Seconds, another UCB Comedy video I helped produce. Written by Chris Kelly. Directed by Mitch Magee. Shot/edited by Todd Bieber. Originally done by 27 Kidneys at Maude Night. Check it out!
This is one of my favorite sketches I’ve ever seen at UCBT, because it surprised me even though I’ve seen a million “bomb defusing” scenes/sketches before. We wanted to find a real warehouse to film in, but I couldn’t locate one with a location fee of under $400 — so we did this in the back hallways of the UCBT. Those hallways have been the subject of countless “let’s shoot this [...]
Another video from UCBComedy-NY! Polchek subs! Written by Jesse Acini. Directed by Brandon Bassham. Shot/edited by Pete Schultz. Starring Mike Still, Aaron Glaser and John Frusciante.
This is M. Night Shyamalan Burger, a UCB Comedy Original we shot last night. It’s based on a sketch Charlie Sanders wrote up. Brandon Bassham got us a location last night, Bieber shot it then I edited it. A 24-hour turnaround from when Anthony King gave us the script. Pretty cool. This is Ray Munoz as M. Night — and he does a great job.
Bieber pointed out that it isn’t THAT far off from the American Express commercial M. Night did. I mean, we did a “Be Kind Rewind” version, but still.
My blog can’t handle its widescreen awesomeness.
Here’s Ask Bobby — a Rob Lathan sketch from the Osgood-Schlatter days. I had the pleasure of shooting and editing these. Greg Tuculescu and Violet Krumbein are the callers.
Spoiler Alert: If you’ve watched it already, you’re probably trying to put the pieces together. Ok, a few pieces of advice: watch what Bobby does with his hands right in the opening credits of the show, then compare that with the record sleeve that comes into view towards the end. Remember that FDR had a cat named “Ben.” If you watch the timer at the bottom, you’ll see that a significant confession always seems to arrive when the clock [...]
