Will Hines

Greetings. I'm an actor and comedian in Los Angeles. Five foot eight, born in 1970, nice dude.

I'm a comedic actor with tons of improv experience. I've appeared on Brooklyn 99, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Broad City, Inside Amy Schumer, Conan O'Brien and many others. I was trained at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (originally in New York City, then Los Angeles) where I've worked with every funny person in America over the last 20 years.

Anything recent I'm doing I'll plug on my instagram.

My twitter is a mixture of true plugs and false brags.

You can also see my imdb profile, which is... mostly accurate?

I produce, host and appear in many podcasts!

Podcasts I've appered on: Comedy Bang-Bang, Improv4Humans, Hollywood Handbook and many others.

Plus, there are four podcasts I produce, and another that's retired:

  • I Will Write Your Book - In this weekly improvised podcast, I play a ghost writer named "Will Hines" who meets with various insane clients who have terrible ideas for books they want written.
  • Screw It, We're Just Gonna Talk About Comics - My brother Kevin and I analyze the comics of our youth every week.
  • Screw It, We're Just Gonna Talk About The Beatles - An intermittent podcsat in which three friends and I talk about The Beatles.
  • Emergency Podcast - A podcast in which each episode is a new idea for a podcast. This is where I do ideas I won't have time to do fully.
  • Don't Get Me Started - In this retired podcast, Anthony King and I co-hosted this podcast in which we interviewed comedians and other creative types to talk about anything besides their job. Since it's retired it doesn't count as one of the four I current produce!

That is... too many.

I'm a veteran comedy improviser and teacher. Since 2000, I've trained, performed and taught at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in both New York City and Los Angeles.

I teach improv classes online, and I created an online school called The World's Greatest Improv School

Plus I've written two books on improv:

I write and record songs with my band Wayne & Rodney, which is comprised of myself and fellow improviser Joel Spence. We have two albums: Turn It Up (2020) and To The Victor Go The Spoils (2021).

In my opinion, the songs sounds like a mixture of R.E.M. and They Might Be Giants. Somewhere in that world.

They're available on iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, Tidal and other places (search "Wayne & Rodney"). But the best place to support the band is via the music site Bandcamp: http://wayneandrodney.bandcamp.com/

Other things that didn't fit into the above categories.

  • I once tried to make a page of everything I'd ever made that you could see online. I gave up maintaining it, but here it is.
  • Oh, that's enough.
