Regarding The Hoax That Is El Nino
Who listens to the Weatherman?
This is in response to the recent article "The Hoax that is El Nino."
I'm replying to the following passage:
"Who puts faith into what a weatherman claims? In the past the only
people who have ever listened to these yahoos are couples planning
picnics, and kids hoping for a snowfall so they can forgo their
homework."
by saying "also my mother." No, that is not meant as a joke. It is a
statement of fact. My mother has become increasingly involved with the
Weather Channel, and has on occasion (yesterday in fact) called my up to
tell me to tune in as well. This has gone too far. I'm afraid she is a
hapless victim of Weather Channel Addiction (WCA), an illness that is
striking more and more of the country, especially since this El Nino
Hoax. She will watch not only for news of our local weather, but also
for the reports of the weather in Ohio, California, and Tampa, Florida!
Do we know of anyone of any consequence living in these places? Do we
care what kind of weather they get there? The answer to both of these
rhetorical questions is NO! So now I entreaty Spite, address the
growing concern of Weather Channel Addiction before it's too late!
