Regarding Our Article About the Third World and AIDS

Your recent article "Third World Countries: Stop Bitchin" was very interesting. And I acknowledge that knowledge, and training is the best cure. But that doesn' t mean these people should be excluded from the use of this drug cocktail which is very helpful for the treatment of AIDS. Insyead of criticizing them for bitching, why don' t you think about their problem, if they had money to spend on education, they wouldn' t need to be bitching on the first place. These people, sir, are poor. All of them are. And their governments are not up to par with the U.S.A' s. So how do you think they are going to teach their usually over-populated countries, safe sex. Sir, next time you write something like this, stop, drop, and think. But overall, good article.

I asked Amos to respond to this and he gave me a letter longer than his original article. Basically, Amos feels he answered this criticism in his article. Sure, the cocktail drug might help. But a more responsible attitude toward education on the part of these countries' own governments would do even MORE good.
